HOW MUCH DOES SOLAR COST?
We believe solar should be affordable. We don’t require money up front and provide financing as an option.
HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO SAVE BY GOING SOLAR?
The amount of savings when going solar varies from state-to-state in accordance with local utility costs. With Sun King Solar as your solar provider, you can be certain that your utility costs will be less than what you are currently paying. During your consultation with a Sun King Solar representative, they will help you understand what you can expect to save by going solar in your area.
WILL I HAVE ONE POWER BILL?
You will receive one bill from your utility company. If you chose to finance your system, You will receive one bill for your solar panels. The total cost will be less than what you are currently paying for energy.
WHAT IF I MOVE?
You can either pay off the system when you sell the house or you can transfer it to the new homeowner.
WILL SOLAR PANELS AFFECT THE VALUE OF MY HOME?
Several studies have shown that installing solar panels immediately adds value to your home and can help it sell faster.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE POWER GOES OUT?
In addition to solar panels, we offer the installation of the Enphase Battery. If the power goes out, the battery will activate and you’ll still have power.
WHAT HAPPENS IN BAD WEATHER?
Solar panels will still produce energy on a cloudy or foggy day. Rain and snow may affect production for your system. However If you install the EnPhase battery, you wont have to worry about not having energy.
HOW DOES NET METERING WORK?
After solar panels are installed on your home you begin producing power. Any excess power your home doesn’t use will be sent back to your utility company. Your electric meter will run backwards. You will feed excess energy to the utility company during the day and then receive it back during the nighttime at no cost.
Note: At this time, Tennessee does not offer net metering.
CAN I ADD MORE PANELS LATER?
Yes. As long as your roof has the room for additional panels. Simply contact Sun King Solar. We will guide you through the process.
HOW LONG WILL MY INSTALLATION TAKE?
With Sun King Solar, your installation will take 1-3 days. Normally, installation will take less than a day though. Sun King Solar takes care of everything involved win the installation of your system, including system design and all applicable permits and inspections. Learn more about our process here.
CAN I TAKE MY HOME OFF THE ELECTRICAL GRID?
Your home will continue to be connected to the electrical grid. Excess energy from your solar panels will return to the grid and you will receive that energy back at no cost.
WHO TAKES CARE OF THE PANEL MAINTENANCE?
Each customer receives a 25-year manufacturer warranty, which will cover issues related to the manufacturing itself. Routine maintenance, such as cleaning or snow removal, is provided by each homeowner.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENTS?
With Sun King Solar, there are zero upfront purchase or installation costs.
